Which register applies to the Home Charger Grant?
Use the Smart Charger Register linked from the official Home Charger Grant page. Do not substitute a general energy-efficiency equipment listing. Business tax schemes and equipment registers can have different purposes and eligibility rules.
Match the manufacturer, model and relevant variant to the proposed equipment. If the specification or register entry is unclear, resolve that before ordering. Our catalogue identifies the units and configurations we offer, but SEAI decides grant eligibility.
Does a listed charger guarantee a €300 refund?
No. The application and property must qualify, approval must precede eligible expenditure or work, and a compliant installation and claim must follow. The grant is paid after the approved claim; it does not automatically reduce the amount due for installation. Check SEAI’s current rules, the start date and the offer deadline.
Do all smart chargers have the same features?

Can smart controls replace an electrical assessment?
No. A registered contractor checks the supply, circuit, earthing, bonding, protection and the equipment installation under the current Irish wiring rules. Monitoring or app control does not establish that an existing installation is safe. Load balancing and solar diversion do different jobs.
What should I prepare for the grant claim?
Keep the offer and required completion evidence, including the genuine Certificate No. 3, Test Record Sheet, invoices and installation photos. Follow the requirements attached to your own offer. Our grant process explains the stages; it does not promise an approval or payment date.
