EV Charger Installation in Cork
€999 after SEAI grant
Volt Éire installs 7.4 kW smart EV chargers in homes across County Cork, including Cork City, Carrigaline, Ballincollig, Midleton, Mallow, and Cobh. €1,299 all-in (charger + Safe Electric certified installation + materials + SEAI grant paperwork) — you receive €300 back from SEAI within 4–6 weeks of installation.
EV charging in County Cork
Cork is the second-largest EV market in Ireland and one of our most active counties for SEAI grant applications. Most Cork suburbs have generous off-street parking, which keeps the majority of homes inside our Standard Installation pricing.
Local installer note: Cork city centre and Sunday's Well have older Edwardian terraces with legacy fuseboards — if your meter is indoor and your fuseboard pre-dates 2000, expect a pre-approval visit before booking.

What's included — end to end
One Standard Installation price (€1,299) covers everything from the SEAI grant application through to post-install certification and aftercare. You deal with one team, sign one declaration, and the €300 grant lands in your account.
SEAI grant — end to end
We submit your SEAI application, monitor the Letter of Offer, manage the 6-month deadline, and chase your refund. You sign one declaration; we do the rest.
Safe Electric installation
A Safe Electric registered electrician installs your charger to ET101 wiring rules, with the correct Type A RCBO, isolation, and bonding.
Up to code, every time
If your existing electrics need bringing up to standard for an EV circuit (bonding, earthing, fuseboard), we identify it during the photo review — never on install day.
Certification on completion
You receive your Safe Electric completion certificate the day of install — required by SEAI, by your insurer, and good for resale.
Standard pricing covers everything
Charger, install, all materials, grant paperwork, and certification — €1,299 all-in. Net cost €999 after the €300 SEAI refund.
Aftercare + 2-year warranty
2-year workmanship warranty on the install. We coordinate any manufacturer warranty claim on the BENY charger so you don't deal with the supplier directly.
What if my home needs more than Standard?
About 1 in 5 Irish homes needs additional work before a charger can go in safely — an older fuseboard, missing bonding, an indoor or prepay meter, or ESB Networks having to confirm capacity. In those cases:
- A Safe Electric electrician inspects on a low-cost pre-approval visit and quotes the extras transparently — before you commit to anything.
- Pricing for any extras follows the Safe Electric electrician's specification and is quoted before you book.
- We still handle the SEAI grant end-to-end — eligibility check, application, declaration, refund.
- Your home is brought up to code as part of the work and you get the same Safe Electric certification on completion.
No surprises on install day. Whatever your home needs to be compliant, you see the full price before you book — and you keep the €300 SEAI refund either way.
