Step 1
Photo assessment
Upload your fuseboard, meter, earthing/bonding evidence, parking space, cable route and electricity bill. We use these to confirm Standard Installation eligibility before you book.
Volt Éire installs 7.4 kW smart home EV chargers for €1,299 all-in: charger, materials, Safe Electric registered installation, testing, certification and SEAI paperwork. Eligible customers receive €300 back from SEAI. Net cost: €999.
Volt Éire's Standard Installation is €1,299 all-in — charger, materials, Safe Electric registered installation, testing, certification and SEAI grant paperwork. Eligible homeowners receive €300 back from SEAI, so the net cost is €999. Extra electrical work (older fuseboard, missing bonding, complex cable route) is quoted before booking, never on install day.
The process is built around finding issues before install day. Photos do the first pass; a Safe Electric registered electrician handles the electrical work, testing and certification.
Step 1
Upload your fuseboard, meter, earthing/bonding evidence, parking space, cable route and electricity bill. We use these to confirm Standard Installation eligibility before you book.
Step 2
If your home is eligible, you book your installation and we handle the €300 SEAI Home Charger Grant paperwork around the Letter of Offer and post-install declaration.
Step 3
A Safe Electric registered electrician installs a dedicated EV circuit, mounts the charger, tests the installation and provides the required certification.
Step 4
We help you get set up for smart charging so routine charging can happen at home overnight instead of relying on public AC or DC charging.
Every Volt Éire installation is completed by a Safe Electric registered electrician — the legally required register for domestic electrical work in Ireland. We coordinate the photo assessment, the SEAI Home Charger Grant paperwork, and the post-install Safe Electric certification you'll need for the grant claim, your insurer and resale.
Safe Electric
Registered installer
Domestic EV circuit installed to current I.S. 10101 wiring rules, with appropriate protection and isolation.
SEAI register
Approved charger
The Beny 7.4 kW smart charger we install is on SEAI's Smart Charger Register, so it qualifies for the €300 grant.
Certification
Day-of-install
You receive your Safe Electric completion certificate the same day — required by SEAI, by your insurer, and good for resale.
EV chargers add a sustained load to your home's electrics, so the existing setup matters. The photo assessment is designed to spot the homes that are standard, and the homes that need review, before anyone drills a wall or takes payment for extras.
Standard Installation includes the 7.4 kW smart charger, typical cabling/materials, installation, testing, certification, SEAI paperwork and customer support. If your photos show an older fuseboard, missing bonding, a complex route or another electrical issue, we quote that work before you book.
We currently publish local installation pages for 12 supported counties. These pages help local customers find the same fixed-price installation and photo assessment process in areas where coverage is active.
