Use cases

Match charging to how the site is actually used

A workplace car park can be for employees, pool vehicles, visitors, customers or mixed use. Each has different access and billing needs.

Employee charging

Offer predictable charging for staff while controlling access and energy use.

Visitor charging

Give clients, guests or tenants a useful on-site amenity without turning the car park into a public free-for-all.

Fleet and pool vehicles

Plan charger count, overnight dwell time and load management around operational vehicle needs.

Site planning

Avoid overloading the site or underbuilding the future

The quote should reflect the electrical supply, cable routes, charger duty cycle and future bay expansion.

Load management

We assess whether dynamic load balancing or staged charging is needed before recommending hardware.

Reporting and access

RFID, app access, usage reporting and reimbursement needs are scoped before the proposal.

Installation evidence

Commercial jobs can need RAMS, insurance details, safe systems of work and certification records.

Grants and compliance

Use scheme-specific language before you commit

Apartment, home, workplace and CPO-led projects follow different rules. The public proposal should not mix grant schemes or overstate what is included.

Grant support is checked, not assumed

We do not publish a workplace grant amount unless it is backed by a current official scheme. During enquiry review, we can check available supports for the site and applicant.

FAQ

Common questions

How many workplace chargers do we need?

It depends on parking count, employee EV adoption, visitor use, dwell time, available electrical capacity and whether vehicles need daily charging.

Can staff pay for their own charging?

That can be scoped through access-control, billing or managed-charging options. The right setup depends on your policy and whether the chargers are private, shared or public-facing.

Do workplace chargers need load balancing?

Often they do, especially when multiple chargers share a limited supply. We assess this during the technical review.
