myenergi Zappi GLO owner guide

Everything you need to run your charger day to day. Written for this unit specifically — the app and controls differ between chargers, so instructions for a different model will not match what you see.

Your first charge

The GLO has no screen — everything lives in the myenergi app, which your installer pairs during commissioning.

  1. Plug in (tethered cable attached, or your own cable if you chose the socket).
  2. The light ring shows the charger has recognised the vehicle.
  3. Charging follows the mode set in the app.

Charging from your solar

This is the reason to own a Zappi. Rather than exporting surplus generation at the low feed-in rate, the charger diverts it into the car, ramping up and down as clouds pass. On a bright afternoon that is effectively free charging.

  1. In the myenergi app, choose the charging mode that uses surplus generation.
  2. Plug in and leave it — the charger follows what your panels are producing.
  3. Switch to a scheduled or fast mode when you need a guaranteed charge by morning.

Access cards

The GLO supports RFID cards for up to 126 users. Handy if the charger is accessible from a shared driveway and you want to control who can start a charge.

Load balancing

The same monitoring accessory that enables solar diversion also handles load balancing, keeping the charger inside what your supply can carry.

If something looks wrong

Check the light ring and the myenergi app. If solar diversion is not happening, the usual cause is the charging mode rather than a fault. Email ev@volteire.ie and we will check the setup with you.

Warranty and support

Your installation is covered by a 2-year Volt Éire workmanship warranty, and the charger unit carries a separate 3-year manufacturer warranty from myenergi. We handle manufacturer claims for you — one email to ev@volteire.ie covers both.

Still stuck?

Email ev@volteire.ie with your Eircode and a photo of the charger. We handle manufacturer claims for you, so you only need to talk to us.
