RFID cards

Two contactless cards came in the box. Tap one on the front of the charger to authorise a charge — no app, no phone needed.

How to use them

  1. Wave a hand near the charger to wake the LCD.
  2. Hold a card flat against the RFID symbol on the front (the small wave icon).
  3. You'll hear a short beep and the LED ring will run up and down — the charger is now authorised.
  4. Plug into the car within the next 30–60 seconds. Charging starts automatically.
  5. To stop: tap the same card again, or just unplug.

Five short beeps means authorisation failed — try again, or check the card is registered (see below).

Bind a new card via the app

Lost a card? You can register any compatible card (ISO14443 Type A / MIFARE® ONE, 13.56 MHz) — for example, an old hotel key card.

  1. Open Z-BOX → your charger → Settings.
  2. Tap RFID Bind.
  3. Tap Add at the bottom.
  4. Enter the card's serial number (printed on the back of the original cards).
  5. Tap Add to save.

Where to keep the cards

  • One on your keyring is handy — most days you'll just have it on you.
  • Keep the second card somewhere safe inside the house as a backup.
  • The cards don't need a battery; they last as long as you don't lose them.
